Leaving the Ego of Skiing Behind

The road: it takes us from point A, through point B, and all the way to point C. In this case, point C is a small, dead-end nook of Oregon, where cows outnumber people and a close-knit community comes together across cultural divides, bonded by the surrounding wilderness. As the hordes head toward well-known backcountry zones across the country, Sam Schwartz and Elsa Smith have ventured here in search of skiing at its purest. Maybe, just maybe, the end is actually the beginning. Produced by The Locals Project and directed by Jacob Oster.
