The Coziest Gear at Winter Outdoor Retailer 2020

Outdoor Retailer is where we go to discover the groundbreaking technologies designed to make you go faster, harder, and stronger. But after the most hardcore outdoor pursuits, we just want the fuzziest, warmest gear out there. This is what we’ll be wearing around the cabin in winter 2021.

Xtratuf Homer Shoe ($85)

Cozy meets functional. These mid-rise wool booties are lined with faux shearling for warmth and outfitted with a grippy, non-marking outsole—the same as Xtratuf’s workhorse Legacy boot. Made for fishermen in cold climes, they work just as well at home, too.

Picture Judy Pant ($90, Women’s)

After a long day on the slopes, all we’ll want to do is envelop ourselves in these 100-percent recycled polyester fuzz (not a technical term) pants. With spacious, fleece-lined pockets and a roomy, jogger-style fit, they’re born to chill.

Rumpl Sherpa Puffy Blanket ($129)

Sherpa fleece has taken over the outdoor world. We were already fans of Rumpl’s classic puffy blankets, but the added fuzzy layer on this post-consumer recycled, 30-denier ripstop polyester throw made us want to steal it right off the show floor.

California Cowboy Yucata Robe ($148, Men's)

Perfect for any soak or steam, this wrap is lined with cotton terry fabric. But for such a simple garment, it’s packed with features: a zippered, water-resistant pocket for your phone, a sunglasses loop, and a beer holder. With a slimmer, shorter cut, it moves better than a classic robe—in case your aprés activities involve sneaking over fences. We won’t judge.

Cotopaxi Dorado Half-Zip Fleece Jacket ($100)

Retro colorblock vibes meet 100 percent recycled polyester  in this zip-up that’s perfect for both aprés and office.

Kavu Pocatello Overalls ($75, Women’s)

Overalls and fleece are a match made in heaven. This piece beckoned to us with its full-length fuzz, made from polyester fleece and packed with pockets. Who says comfort can’t be utilitarian?

Snow Peak Tsuzumi 350 Bottle ($70)

This stylish insulated bottle’s flared shape feels great in your hands. It’s double-walled, vacuum insulated, and will keep your hot toddy warm for hours.

Olukai Loma Hulu Slipper ($110, Women’s)

You’re the kind of person who wants to wear flip flops all year long. But winter is tough on the toes. No sweat—this slipper has the freedom of a sandal, the warmth of a shearling lining, and a contoured, supportive footbed.

Tincup Rye Whiskey ($30)

We aren’t whiskey experts—it’s just really tasty. Pour one neat, snuggle up, and take an aprés nap. You deserve it.
