I would like to personally invite you all to Linton, Indiana on July 26th.  We are hosting an outdoor recreation weekend to show-off the four state parks that are in our area.

Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area
Greene-Sullivan State Forest
Shakamak State Park
Redbird State Recreation Area

These properties surround the Linton area and offer a wide array of outdoor activities.  Camping, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, birding, cycling, hinting, off-road wheeling, mudding and more.

There is over 14,000 acres of nature to enjoy here.  One park alone has 120 lakes.

On Saturday morning, July 26th, we will register guests at the City Hall in downtown Linton.  Guests will be given a welcome bag of goodies, refreshments and an identifying wristband.  There will be information on all four properties and activities going on.  Or, a person can just register and take off on their own day of fun without participating in any of the planned events.  By registering, you will have the opportunity for maps, contact numbers, goodies and discounts from around town and for future visits.  There will be children's activities at Shakamak, new cabin rentals at Greene-Sullivan State Forest and new areas of interest open at Redbird such as new hiking and mountain biking trails that will be open by then.
