Trail-inspired art offered at Angel Mounds

An exhibition of work by University of Evansville art students who drew inspiration from the trails at Angel Mounds State Historic Site will open with a public reception at 7 p.m. today.

The show, which features photographs, sculpture, paintings, drawings, metalwork and jewelry by students of UE art instructors Frances Cadora and Julie R. Hope, will remain through May 9 in the visitors center at Angel Mounds, 8215 Pollack Ave.

Stone Roses will provide live music, and Turtle Run Winery will present a tasting at the free, public reception.
