Greetings Audubon enthusiasts:
Recent weather has immensely impacted J. J. Audubon State Park. We still have quite a few limbs and lines down so the park will be closed to the public through the rest of the week at the earliest. The trails will take a considerably longer period of time to get back into shape. Once the roads, buildings, and shelter areas are clear we will be working on the trails, opening them one at a time.
Two public programs will be cancelled. Rescheduling information is listed below in red.
This Tiny Tots Art class will be rescheduled. The reschedule date is yet to be determined. The next Tiny Tots class will be March 6.

“Identifying Wintertime Backyard Birds” Presented by Sharon Sorenson, Evansville Courier and Press columnist
Originally scheduled for Sunday, February 8
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Many birds of the far north wing their way here for winter, thinking of this as their Caribbean-like winter getaway. Join Sharon Sorenson, newspaper columnist, for this captivating workshop illustrated by several hundred photos. You'll learn to recognize all our winter friends, including year-round regulars that change into drab winter clothes, the six kinds of sparrows, and the four black-colored birds--three of which aren't blackbirds at all.
Staff Contact: Julie McDonald at (270) 826-2247 or juliea.mcdonald@ky.gov
Program fee: Free
